Helping communities reduce the risk of dengue
After years of research, Entogenex scientists found a way successfully extract TMOF, a stomach protein that tells mosquitoes to quit sucking blood- or risk bursting their gut. Fusing it with BTi (a bacteria friendly to humans, deadly to larvae), the lethal combo was then grafted onto rice husks.
Mousticide (as the product is known) is sprayed/ sprinkled on water. Once consumed, larvae inevitably die from metabolic starvation- believing they have had enough to eat.
